This print is made using the drypoint etching method. It is printed on archival paper and signed and editioned. It is based on the Empire Zinc Strike in 1950 in New Mexico. Many people know of this historic strike where the women continued on with the 15 month picket line when the men were no longer able to due to an injunction. This specific moment was portrayed in the movie Salt of the Earth as well as in historic photos from the strike.
