Maybe this was where the Rail Yards workers stayed or maybe it was a stop on the cross country travel for people using the Green Book? Maybe it was bought with money from some of the business families from Blackdom because they arrived in Clovis in 1924 and worked as housecleaners for wealthy families in the day?
